Charles Eugene Ogden left this world to be with Our Lord on February 8, 2011. Charlie was born on July 28, 1948, to Eugene Murl Ogden and Donna Maude Scott in Oklahoma City. Charlie attended and later graduated from Northwest Classen High School; where he played basketball. Charlie went on to further his education at Oklahoma State University and joined the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Charlie felt a call and joined the United States Marine Corps and fought for his country during the Vietnam War. While in country in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Charlie was exposed to the chemical ìAgent Orangeî which was used for primarily to defoliate forested and rural land, depriving guerrillas of cover. Due to this exposure, Charlie has been faced with health problems later in life. Charlie lived in Dallas, Texas, for several years and became known as ìBig Charlieî due to his height. Charlie was a loving member and participant of Crossings Community Church and considered them another family. Charlie went to be with his Lord and Saviour on February 8, 2011 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in the Veterans Medical Center at the age of 62 years six months and eleven days old. Charlie is survived by his mother, Donna; sisters Cheryl Hooper; Shelley Williams and her husband, Steve; Carol Torres and her husband, DeWayne; Dorothy Brown and her husband Bruce; brothers Jeremiah Scott and his wife, Cathy; John Scott and his wife, Marsha; and his uncle, Ben Overton, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene and his step-father, Jack Scott. Memorial Services will be Friday 10:00 am, February 11, 2011 at the Crossings Community Church, 14600 N. Portland, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
