Charles Brian Hixson passed from this life on February 1, 2023, at the age of 55 in Blackburn, Oklahoma.


Brian was born on July 4, 1967, in Cushing, Oklahoma the first child of Charles and Charlotte (Kizer) Hixson. Brian grew up and attended school in Jennings, Oklahoma where he completed his education in Cleveland. He was very active in 4H and later with the Cleveland FFA showing steers. Following high school Brian began working as a welder constructing oil tanks. He traveled through out the United States for many years before starting with the Boilermakers Union in the 1980's. Brian later began working as a project supervisor constructing tanks for several companies including Consolidated, Matrix, CBI as well as J & J Tanks to name a few. On October 3, 1998, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Beth Lee Hazen. They called Blackburn their home while traveling throughout the United States working. In 2016, Brian and Beth returned to Blackburn where he has continued to reside.


Brian always enjoyed being outdoors especially when he was shooting guns, fishing, riding four wheelers or going fast. Most of Brian's friends referred to him as "'BigUn" and was always proud when his grandkids called him "Pops".


Survivors include his wife Beth of the home, eight children Brian Hixson, II of Illinois, Bradley Hixson of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Benjamin Hixson of Wisconsin, Zachary Young of New York, Dylan Hixson of Drumright, Oklahoma, Kyle Hixson of Drumright, Oklahoma, Braxton Hixson of Jennings, Oklahoma, Brianna Hixson Anderson of Blackburn, Oklahoma; parents Charles and Charlotte Hixson of Jennings, Oklahoma; sister Yetta Hixson of Jennings, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren; one great granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his brother Clifford Hixson, grandparents Homer and Lois Hixson, Howard and Ava Kizer.


Services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Casey Muse officiating services.
