Joel was born March 31, 1971, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of Cesario "Pee Wee", Jr. and Paula Dellene (Stroud) Garcia. Joel was raised and received his education in Cleveland, Oklahoma where he later graduated with the Class of 1989. Following high school Joel attended Oklahoma State University. He later moved to the Oklahoma City area where he worked and owned his own business contracting property cleanups. He eventually expanded his business contracting with local governments in the Oklahoma City area for many years. During this time Joel attended the University of Oklahoma graduating in 1995 with a degree in Psychology. Joel later began working in the real estate business and helped expand Paula and Company from Cleveland to Oklahoma City. Joel had been currently brokering property for the past fifteen years. Joel had been awarded numerous awards and achievements for his intellectual ability and advancements in the real estate business. Some of them include Top Producer in Oklahoma City, Ginny Award for Innovative Realtor in Technology and Top Residential Producer in Oklahoma City and Tulsa Area. Joel was well respected in the Oklahoma City area as well as being one of the few independent agencies. Joel was active with the Planning and Revitalization of Oklahoma City for many years. Joel had recently started running marathons. His most recent events were the Memorial Marathon and the Red Bud Classic. Joel was a very unique and charismatic person. Joel was very quick witted and always singing a tune. He loved life and everything about it. Joel enjoyed going to plays, visiting museums and art exhibits. Joel is described as definitely a dreamer. Joel passed from this life on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the age of 44 years.Survivors are his mother Paula of Cleveland, Oklahoma; sister Tawnya Thomason of Cleveland, Oklahoma, one uncle Joe Garcia of Cleveland, Oklahoma; four aunts Felicia Garcia of San Antonio, Texas, Lucy Caballero of Campbellton, Texas, Alice Wilkins of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Goldie McGrew of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two nieces Della and Jayden as well as a host of other cousins, relatives and friends that mourn his passing.. He was preceded in death by father Cesario Garcia, Jr.
