Funeral Mass services for Celeste C. Martin-Senna will be held Thursday August 18, 2005 at 10:00 am with Father Bruce Brosnahan officiating; Rosary services are Wednesday evening August 17, 2005 both at the St. Josephís Catholic Church burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.

Celeste C. Martin-Senna was born May 11, 1910 in Watrous, New Mexico to Presiliano and Pauline (Villarde) Martinez. C.C. grew up in the Las Vegas, New Mexico area attending Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School. After her education C.C. remained in Las Vegas, New Mexico area until 1929. At that time she moved to Douglas, Arizona. C.C. continued to live there until 1940. In 1940 C.C. moved to the Los Angles, California area. Upon her arrival she accepted employment with Ralphís Cleaners. C.C. continued to work at Ralphís for over 18 years as the manager. Soon after working at Ralphís, C.C. began taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren for several years. In 1968 she returned to the Las Vegas, New Mexico area and in 1978 C.C. moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma.

While living in Cleveland C.C. began bowling at Sheridan Lanes in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a member of several different leagues as well as a participant in the 1999 Senior Olympics. C.C. brought home a Gold Medal in doubles as wells as a Silver Medal in Singles. C.C. was a faithful member of the St. Josephís Catholic Church and loved bowling, sewing, crocheting including being with her family and friends. C.C. was a member of the Super Citizens Band and the Sewing Club.

C.C. passed away peacefully Thursday August 11, 2005 at her home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years 3 months. Preceding her in death are her parents, eleven brothers and one son Ishmael Tafoya.

Surviving are two daughters Pat Jordan of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Ann Doughty of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren Jody Love-Baugh, Paula Martinez, Bobee Forrest, David Tafoya, Leroy Tafoya, Michael Tafoya; seventeen great grandchildren, eighteen great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
