Carol L Johnson passed from this life on June 20, 2024, at the age of 83 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Carol was born on April 15, 1941, in Osage, Oklahoma the daughter of William and Nettie (House) Sutterfield. Carol grew up and attended school in Osage, Oklahoma. After the completion of her education she was united in marriage to Derias Johnson on July 11, 1958. Following their marriage the couple returned to Osage where she continued to reside. Carol worked at Farmers Insurance Company in Cleveland, Oklahoma for Jerry Smith and later Doug Lee for many years.
Carol enjoyed attending church, working in her yard and going shopping. For many years Carol and Derias took great pride tending to the Osage Cemetery.
Survivors are two children Rhonda Mooney of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Alvin Johnson of Osage, Oklahoma; two grandchildren Jason Cavin of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Jolene Mooney of Cleveland, Oklahoma; three great grandchildren Jayce Cavin, Bryce Cavin, Darius Mooney and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. In addition to her parents Carol was preceded in death by her husband Derias, three sisters, Willadean Cullison, Helen Dill, Betty Fearn; and three brothers, Leonard Sutterfield, Ulis Sutterfield and Clifton (Budgie) Sutterfield.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Osage Cemetery with Pastor Garry McDevitt officiating. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Carol at www.chapman-black.com.
