Services for Carl Douglas Stringfellow, Jr. better know to his friends and family as ìBuffaloî will be held Tuesday February 22, 2005 at 11:00 am at the Buffalo Tavern in Osage, Oklahoma with officiated by Rev. Dale Bowsers. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Carl Buffalo a resident of Osage was born October 23, 1952 in San Diego, California to Carl Douglas, Sr. and Sybil Anita (Lindsey) Stringfellow. Carl ìBuffaloî was raised and received his education in California where he graduated in 1970. He later moved to Houston, Texas and accepted employment with AT&T. Buffalo worked in Houston for several years in the heating and air conditioning department for AT&T. Carl was later transferred to Tulsa in 1988. Carl ìBuffaloî worked for AT&T for over 17 years until his motorcycle accident. At that time in 1989 Carl ìBuffaloî lost his leg due to the accident and retired.

In 1990 Carl ìBuffaloî and Cindy moved to Osage, Oklahoma and opened The Buffalo Tavern. Carl ìBuffaloî was united in marriage to Cecelia Barnes at Osage, Oklahoma on June 17, 2000. Carl and Cindy have continued to reside in Osage.

Carl ìBuffaloî was very active in his community helping children and people in need. He is known for his generosity to many organizations. For the past 16 years Buffalo has been the organizer and chairman of the Cimarron Valley Toy Run for Pawnee County D.H.S. When Carl first became associated with the Toy Run there were 12 motorcycles and four cars. This last year in 2004 there were 167 motorcycles and 12 cars. Over the past 16 years with the Toy Run Carl has helped over 3500 children have a memorable Christmas. Buffalo was also a sponsor of the OK 4 Kids Penny Run which helps battered women and children with no parents. A Sponsor of the Tulsa A.B.A.T.E. which helps fund transportation costs for the children taken to the Shrinerís Hospital. He was a sponsor of Bikers Against Child Abuse which is also known as B.A.C.A. for the past ten years. Carl ìBuffaloî was a Volunteer Judge for the bike show that Thunder Roads Biker Magazine organizes. Buffalo was a sponsor of the Picture Man Bike Internet Magazine for many years as well. Last Carl ìBuffaloî and Cindy were organizers and sponsors for the Easter Egg Hunt in Osage for the past 11 years. Carl ìBuffaloî was a man that loved children and people and helping those in need. He will be missed by all of those that he helped and touched in his many ways.

Carl ìBuffaloî passed away February 16, 2005 near Osage, Oklahoma in a single car accident at the age of 52 years 3 months and 23 days. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survived by his loving wife Cindy Stringfellow, of the home; children, Jason Stringfellow of Florida; Chad Stringfellow of Florida; Donnie Gonzales of Osage, Oklahoma; Stacey and husband Gaylen Vaughn of Cleveland, Oklahoma; father Carl Stringfellow, Sr. of Mayflower, Arkansas, mother Sybil Fuller of LaPointe, California, siblings Teresa Stringfellow of Del City, Oklahoma, Tracy Stringfellow of Del City, California, Karen Antoine of Rialto, California, Bryan Hatton of Phoenix, Arizona, Dana Fuller of Morino Valley, California, Jackie Fuller of AltaLoma, California, Gary Averna of Long Beach, California, Buddy Fuller of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Ashley Danille Bates of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Ronnie Dale Bates of Claremore, Oklahoma; Jessica Dawn Gonzales of Osage, Oklahoma; Lucas Cole Vaughn of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Caitlyn Ruby Leigh Vaughn of Cleveland, Oklahoma; numerous other adopted children that each of you know who you are and friends.
