Brian Johnson

Brian Kelly Johnson passed from this life on February 8, 2025 at the age of 68 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Brian was born on March 4, 1956, in Cleveland, Oklahoma the son of Jack D and Astor Mae (McNair) Johnson. Brian grew up and attended school in Cleveland where he later graduated. Following high school Brian joined the United States Navy. Following his discharge from the U.S. Navy, Brian returned to the Tulsa area. Brian began working as a route driver for a local paper company. He then began going to Spartan to learn the trade of nondestructive inspection. Brian worked a short time in the pipeline business before returning to Tulsa. Brian later moved to Prattville where he remained for many years.

Brian enjoyed Blues music and played the harmonica and guitar for many years. He would often get asked if he would join the band if he was in the crowd watching.

Survivors are his son Brian Johnson, Jr., aunt Phyliss Duty, cousin Mike Wamego; grandchildren Nick, Rilyn, Kinslee and Jax. Brian was preceded in death his parents Jack and Astor Johnson and his sister Pam Johnson.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, February 13, 2025 at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Burial will be held in the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
