Brent Lewis Dixon

Brent Lewis Dixon was born on July 28, 1961, in Hominy, Oklahoma. He was the son of Buckie Austin and Norma Jean (Hulet) Dixon. Brent began and completed his education in Hominy, Oklahoma graduating with the Class of 1979. Following his education, Brent started to work in the oil fields of Oklahoma. He worked as a driller for many years at Spess Oil as well as for Hughes Drilling in Enid, Oklahoma. Brent also worked as an oil producer and cable tool operator with his twin brother Barry. For the past 26 years, Brent has worked for Short Oil Company. Brent also worked for his dad in between the times he worked on his regular job. On November 14, 1992, Brent was united in marriage to Terry Ann Ratliff, and to that union, there were two children born Bridget and Hannah

Brent enjoyed collecting coins as well as rocks. He loved going fishing when he had time as well. Brent is described as a very honest, giving as well as a person with a big heart. Additionally, Brent was very dedicated to his family and friends. You could always guarantee that if Brent did it, it was done right. He would always help those in need as well as his friends.
Brent passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the age of 56 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Survivors are his two children Bridget Paige Dixon of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Hannah Jaylee Dixon of Cleveland, three siblings Jim Austin Dixon and wife June of Yukon, Oklahoma, Barry Lynn Dixon of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Julie Darlene Dixon of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and many other friends and relatives that will mourn his passing. Brent was preceded in death by his parents Buckie and Norma Dixon. Brent was preceded in death by a daughter Casie Dawn Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Mark Formby officiating. Burial will follow in the Osage Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
