Billy Jay Hodson, 53, passed from this life on February 24, 2021 in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Billy was born on June 29, 1967, in Farmington, New Mexico. Billy is the son of Alva Hodson and Janette Blackburn Hodson. Billy started school in Cleveland later attended school in Pawnee. Billy later completed his education in Cleveland and began welding school in Tulsa. He later attended Tulsa Cleet training and worked at Rader Juvenile Detention Center in Sand Springs. Billy later accepted a position as a police officer in Sperry for a couple years. He then worked at 300 PSI in Cleveland later worked as a welder at Superior. Then Billy began working for the Local #798 traveling throughout the United States.
Billy had a lot of hobbies that kept him busy and they included, fishing, metal work, woodworking, welding, DYI, bowling, waterskiing, boxing and rodeo. He also had several pets, 6 dogs, 2 cats, 10 chickens and 6 clucks. Billy referred to Roy Meiggs as a brother/best friend, and he loved his Little Sis “Darla” who was his partner in crime.
Survivors are his wife Leesa Hodson of the home; six children Christopher Hodson and his wife Anna of Pawnee, Thomas Hodson and his wife Carla of Ft. Worth, Texas, Timothy Hodson of Ft. Worth, Texas, Gaige Hodson, Gairit Hodson, Hope Hodson all of Sperry, Oklahoma, Bradlee Bledsoe and his wife Sharan of Pawnee, Oklahoma Cody Bledsoe and his wife Misty of Ralston, Oklahoma, father Alva R Hodson and his wife Alice of Cleveland, Oklahoma, mother Janette Hodson of Cleveland, Oklahoma; five siblings Monty Hodson and his wife Norma of Terlton, Oklahoma, Annette Peterson and her husband Doug of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Renee Salyer and her husband Duane of Skiatook, Oklahoma; Darla Champlain and her husband Mike of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Paula Thurman and her husband Carl of Silver City, Oklahoma, fourteen grandchildren, one great grandson and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents William and Eva Blackburn, Alva and Josie Hodson, one brother Bobby Ray Hodson, nephew Jonathan Hodson and one great nephew Noah Brown.
Services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the First Assembly of God Church in Cleveland. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery.
