Billy Carl Richardson, 77, of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed from this life on February 28, 2021, at his home.
Bill was born on February 22, 1944 in Asher, Oklahoma, the son of Carl and Tinia Belle (Brown) Richardson. Bill spent a lot of his childhood through his teen years at his sisters and brother in laws ranch do to this Velda and Fred’s daughter Janice was more like a sister to him. Bill grew up and received his education in the Asher, Oklahoma. After graduation he worked for Grace Petroleum then moving to the Hallett area where he and Clyde Holt started a trucking company. Bill worked for Carl Davis and later began working for Mid-Con as a pumper where he worked until he retired. Following retirement Bill began helping mow the Keystone Golf Course in Cleveland. He mentioned numerous times how he was going to quit due to the fact it interfered with his golf game. On July 14, 2006, Bill was united in marriage to Louella Clair Ellis in Miami, Oklahoma.
Bill loved being on the golf course and spent many hours playing. One of his favorite memories was the trip to Hawaii on his honeymoon.
Bill wanted everyone to know that he did not die of COVID. He loved OSU so wear your OSU gear to the service if you have some.
Bill is survived by his wife Louella of the home; children Bradley Carl Richardson, Carlin Brett Richardson, Shelly Rae Fuller, Josh Ethan Richardson, Randy Leon Merriman, LaDonna Gayle; one sister Oletta Joyce Matthews; eight grandchildren, five step grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his three brothers Russell Richardson, Ralph Richardson, A.G. “Buck” Richardson, one sister Velda Smith and one stepson Michael Dale Merriman.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at the Keystone Golf Course. Burial of the cremated remains will follow at a later date in the IOOF Cemetery in Maramac under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
