Bill Andrew Lyman

Bill Andrew Lyman was born November 13, 1936 on the family farm near Talala, Oklahoma in rural Washington County. He was the son of John and Bonnie Lyman. He moved with his family at an early age to town in Vera, Oklahoma where he attended school.

Bill enlisted into the service of his country at the age of seventeen in the United States Air Force. He served two enlistments, receiving an honorable discharge on November 17, 1963.

Upon his honorable discharge, Bill returned to Oklahoma and accepted employment at American Airlines for several years and then later for Yuba Tubing Company for a few more years. During this time, Bill resided in Collinsville and the later in Tulsa. He moved Mannford in the late 1980's and has continued to reside there until moving to the Cimarron Pointe Care Center in 2004 for health reasons.

He enjoyed Country Western music and was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed spending time in Tacoma, Washington; he also loved to hunt mushrooms.
