Beverly Ann Maier of Hominy, Oklahoma passed from this life following a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years one month and three days. Beverly was born February 9, 1950 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Olen Curtis, Sr. and Edna Mae (Watkins) Brewer. Beverly attended school in Oologah and graduated with the Class of 1968. Following high school Beverly enrolled and furthered her education at Northeastern State University graduating in 1972. Beverly was later united in marriage on October 11, 1975 in Claremore, Oklahoma to James Henry Maier. Following their marriage Beverly worked for Enterprise Photo and then accepted employment with LaBarge Electronics in Tulsa. Beverly continued to work for LaBarge until 1993. Beverly and James moved to Hominy in 1994, where she has continued to reside. Beverly loved her family dearly and cherished the time spent with her family, friends and grandchildren. Survivors are her daughter Charlotte Lowry and her husband Devon of Hominy, Oklahoma, three siblings Danny Earl Brewer of Oologah, Oklahoma, Margaret Ann Valk of Oologah, Oklahoma, Olen Curtis Brewer, Jr. "Odie" of Oologah, Oklahoma, two grandchildren Tayla and Tayton Lowry as well as a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. In addition to her parents Beverly was preceded in death by her husband James Henry Maier on Jan. 13, 2007. Church services will be held 10:00 am Friday, March 18, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Hominy, Oklahoma with Rev. Mark Formby officiating. Burial will follow in the Wann Cemetery in Oolagah, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
