Betty Jo Morton

Betty Jo Morton passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years.

Betty was born March 6, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Lynn and Esther (Fenning) Holloway. Betty was raised and received her education in Tulsa and later graduated from Webster High School with the Class of 1968. Betty married Robert Morton in 1970, and of that marriage, they had one son, Brandon Morton. Betty worked as a chef at various bakeries and kitchens in the Tulsa area. Betty also had a catering business and was a phenomenal cake decorator. Betty also served as a personal chef for many people in the Tulsa area.

Betty enjoyed bargain shopping, cooking, jewelry making and playing with her grandbabies. Always bringing them a new toy or outfit when she would visit. Betty loves to work on people’s recipes trying to improve the taste. She loved to cook for the holidays, always trying new things. She enjoyed going to Nebraska, and traveling. She was always ready to see her grandchildren. Betty always put others first and was a loving and caring person.

Survivors are son Brandon Morton and his wife Candace of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two sisters Barbara Howerton of Bixby, Oklahoma, Jan Everitt of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one brother Ron Holloway and his wife Hilda of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two grandchildren Jeremiah and Sophia as well as numerous other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one brother, Dallas Holloway.

The Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma. The burial will follow at 3:00 pm in the Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends and family from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
