Beacher Howard McNair a former resident of Cleveland departed this life Sunday April 13, 2003 at the age of 74 years 2 months in Claremore Veterans Center in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Mr. McNair was the son of John F.T. and Minnie A.J. (Lewis) McNair who moved their family from St. Joe Searcy County, Arkansas to the Cleveland area early in the 1920Ãs. Beacher was born February 13, 1929 in Boston Pool, Oklahoma. He attended school in Cleveland and later marrie Wanda June (Williams) on January 27, 1951 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Beacher was a member of the U.S. Air Force from November 1946 to May 1948 during the reconstruction period of Japan. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers James, Valentine ''Vol'', Clyde, Lewis and Leon; seven sisters Mary, Myrtle, Muriel, Pearl, Thelma, Minnie, and a unnamed infant as well as his wife Wanda.
Survived by his son, Daniel Howard McNair of Cleveland, Oklahoma; grandson, Daniel E.A. McNair of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; sister, Wanda Flinchum of Mannford, Oklahoma; two bothers, Tom McNair of Wills Point, Texas and Jack McNair of Lacey, Washington.
Interment will be at the Bethany Cemetery in Hallett, Oklahoma with no formal services to be held. Services are under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
