Barbara Ann Stokes was born September 23, 1960 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Delbert and Margie Hughes. She grew up in the Cleveland, Oklahoma area along with her brother, Bobby and sister, Mary. Barbara attended Cleveland Schools where she graduated in 1979. Barbara graced this earth with her warmth, kindness and unwavering love for 63 years. She loved spending time with her family and was an excellent cook. Barbara was married to Ronald Blankenship until he passed. Then she married Robert Stokes and they just celebrated their twenty fifth anniversary. Barbara loved reading romance novels. She enjoyed hanging out with her cousins and playing board games. She was always taking care of other people. Holidays were a special time for Barbara, she was able to cook for everyone.Barbara will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness and dedication to family and friends will forever remain in their hearts. Barbara passed from this life Friday, September 20, 2024 at Porta Caeli Hospice House. She is survived by her husband Robert Stokes; her daughter Vanessa Stokes; granddaughter Amber Collins; grandson Isaiah Stokes; two great grandchildren Cassie and Timothy; sister Mary Hughes; uncles Elwood (Mae) Norris and Steve Hughes; aunts Rhonda (Tom) Simmons, Tella Norris, Linda McFadden, Janice Dunn, and Joyce (Jim) Darst; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Ronald Blankenship; Parents Delbert and Margie Hughes; brother Bobby Hughes; uncle Gene Norris, and nephew Cody Hughes.
