Archie Anderson (Andy) Hamilton passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born on June 15, 1935 in Childress Texas. He is the son of Gilbie and Mollie Hamilton. The family moved to Chillicothe Texas when Andy was a young boy. He attended the Chillicothe schools and upon graduating high school Andy attended one year of college at Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Andy joined the National Guard in 1953 and was honorable discharged in 1961.
Andy was united in marriage to Juanell Mitchell on March 5, 1955. They move to Midland, Texas to begin their married life. There he worked for Dow chemical. They lived in Dumas, Texas and Tulsa Oklahoma before moving to Cleveland, Oklahoma. After leaving Dowell, Andy worked as a truck driver, heating and air conditioning, along with numerous odd jobs in order to provide for his family.
Due to his health, he finally has to retire. After retiring, he returned to his great love of farming. He loved to watch his crops grow and therefore had a passion for gardening. He believed in hard work and enjoyed repairing and fixing things around the house.
Andy loved God, his country, his family and working hard. He will be missed by all who loved him.
Andy is survived by his wife Juanell Hamilton of 60 years, two children Teresa Thompson and Tim of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Howard and Debi Hamilton of Cleveland, Oklahoma, one sister Zona Staley of Corpus Christi, Texas, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors.
Preceded in death by his father Gilbie Hamiltion, mother Mollie Hamiltion.
