Anna Norma Lee Garrison

Anna Norma Lee Garrison, 85, of Mannford, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017, at her home.

Norma Lee was born November 27, 1931, in Valley, Oklahoma between Cleveland and Pawnee. She was the daughter James Espy and Willa Ardella (Morris) Vaughan. As a young girl, Norma Lee was raised in rural Cleveland attending school at Rigsby and Keystone where she later graduated. Following the completion of her education, Norma Lee began working at Woolworth in downtown Tulsa. On February 21, 1950, she was united in marriage to Everett Leo Garrison in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Norma Lee and Joe remained in the Sand Springs area until they moved to Mannford in her current home in December of 1962.

Norma Lee attended the Church of Christ in Mannford and Drumright for many years. She enjoyed and loved being with her grandbabies. Norma Lee enjoyed site seeing and taking her family with her. She was a remarkable cook and was the best peanut brittle maker around.

Survivors are her two sons, James Lee Garrison and wife Linda of Mannford, Oklahoma; Timothy Shawn Garrison and wife Shelly of Mannford, Oklahoma; two daughters, Brenda Ann Garrison-Kohout of Crowley, Texas, Evette Leona Garrison-Clayton and husband Joe of Mannford, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two brothers George Vaughan of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Bob Vaughan of Cleveland, Oklahoma as well as a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. Norma Lee was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, one grandson Michael Shawn Clayton, one brother Whitney Vaughan and a sister Juanita Baker.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Church of Christ in Cleveland, Oklahoma with Minister Douglas E. Dingley officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.

Pallbearers will include Billy Kohout, James Garrison, Patrick Garrison, Brooke Kohout, Kyle Clayton and Shane Coble.
