Anna Mae Jones, 89, passed away at home on Thursday, November 17, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Anna was born December 15, 1926, the daughter of Oston Anthony and Ella (Gray) Beville in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She attended school in Cleveland. Anna was united in marriage in 1942 to Carl Owens. On March 6, 1946, she married Oscar Vorrhees Jones in Washington County, Arkansas. Oscar joined the military, and the couple was transferred to Santa Fe, New Mexico. They moved to several locations and later returned to the Cleveland Area in 1953. Anna then gained employment at Commander Mills in Tulsa, Oklahoma as an assembly line worker. She also worked many years at the Coney Islander on Charles Page Boulevard. Anna’s last job was working at Tulsa Osteopathic Hospital in the laundry room, retiring in the early 1980’s.

Anna enjoyed quilting and spent many hours piecing quilts together. Anna loved the times when her family and grandchildren were together for family reunions and holidays. She also enjoyed camping with her children when they were younger. Anna was an avid soap opera fan and also enjoyed telling others how to do things. Anna was baptized at the Terlton First Baptist Church and attended when she visited family.

Survivors are her two sons Pat Jones and his wife Wanda of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mike Jones of Maramec, Oklahoma, four daughters Darlene Martin and her husband Charles of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nadine Hamm and her husband Larry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Martha Ward and her husband Mike of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Burr of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter in law Carol Jones of Prattville, Oklahoma; twenty one grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren, twenty four great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oscar on January 10, 1984; two sons Carl Owens, William Jones, one daughter Mary Harrison, siblings Mitchell, James, Johnny, Hobart, George Beville, sister Myrtle Wilcoxson as well as two granddaughters Annie Rawson and Michelle Bailey.

Pallbearers will include Carl Owens, Lee Ownes, Sean Owens, Eric Martin, Steve Jones and Tony Jones.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Speck officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
