Andrea Meleah Woods of Owasso, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at the age of 33 years one month and twenty eight days. Andrea was born on March 29, 1980, in Denver, Colorado. She is the daughter of Robert and Anne Meleah (Ridenour) Thompson. As a young girl Andrea was raised in the Denver, Colorado area before moving to Catoosa at the age of eight. Andrea started school in Catoosa where she later graduated with the Class of 1998 from Catoosa High School. During her time in high school Andrea worked at WendyÃs in Catoosa for several years. Following high school Andrea has worked at several jobs including in the construction business, restaurants as well as several other places. In 2006, Andrea met the love of her life David Woods. The two later moved to their current home and on June 1, 2010, were united in marriage. Following their marriage Andrea began working around their home and doing what she loved, being a wife, mother and homemaker. Andrea was a person that loved being outdoors. She spent many hours working in the garden, mowing the grass as well as taking care of her home. Andrea was very artistic, talented as well as crafty. She had the natural ability to turn junk into something beautiful as well as priceless. Andrea was always looking for a diamond in the rough when it came to antiques. She also collected fire hydrants and refurbished them into pieces of art. Andrea loved going to watch her daughter and grandkids play sports and was their number one fan. She and David have traveled to many places including Key West, Florida, St. Louis and Branson on numerous occasions. Andrea is described as charming, energetic as well as an extraordinary person. She touched many lives and made a big difference in everyone she was around. Andrea never met a stranger and was very sympathetic and caring to all of those she was around. Survivors are her husband David of the home, two children Madi Woods of the home, Gavin Davis of Tulsa, Oklahoma, step daughter Amber Mehagen of Skiatook, Oklahoma, parents Pastor Bob and Vicki Thompson of Cleveland, Oklahoma, six siblings Brian Thompson of Prue, Oklahoma, Angela Rogers of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Christi Phillips of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Daniel Thompson of Iowa, James Thompson of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Joshua Gouker of Kansas; paternal grandparents Bob and Mary Thompson of Osage, Oklahoma, maternal grandfather Vick Massey of Oolagah, Oklahoma; maternal grandfather Ralph Ridenour of Union City Indiana, Ohio; three grandchildren Lena Mehagen of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Wyatt Woods and Gracie Woods both of Beggs, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Anne Meleah Gouker (Ridenour), maternal grandmother Margaret Massey, paternal grandmother Grace Arnold. Services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Stage Center with Pastors Mike Griffin and Chris Phillips officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
