Amos Floyd Teter, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016, at the age of 64 years old in Ada, Oklahoma.

Amos was born April 18, 1952, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Donovan Albert and Lucille Beatrice (Tramel) Teter. As a young man Amos attended school and grew up in Jenks, Oklahoma. Following the completion of his education; Amos began working as a painter for Caughlin Painting. In 1968, Amos was united in marriage to Rebecca Ann Stines. The couple remained in the Jenks area later divorcing. Amos continued working in the painting business and was injured following a vehicle accident in 1976. He was injured so severely that he was forced into retirement. He later moved to Cleveland with his mother and later to Fort Gibson for his brother Bill to care for him. After Bills death, Amos later returned to Cleveland residing at the Cleveland Manor Nursing Home. In 2014, Amos relocated to Tishomingo, Oklahoma at Blue River Health Care where he was currently residing.

Amos enjoyed horses and riding motorcycles when he was able. He also loved going frog and squirrel hunting when he was younger. Amos was a believer in Jesus Christ and loved his family immensely.

Survivors are his two children James Teter and Tonya of Claremore, Oklahoma, Candi Riley and her husband Tommy of Coweta, Oklahoma; one brother Bud Teter and his wife Joyce of Cleveland, Oklahoma; four sisters Donna Edgerton of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Shirley Bateman of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Judy Brown and her husband Foy of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Debbie Breedlove of Decatur, Texas; nine grandchildren Adreonna Riley, Brittny Riley, Austin Carter, Paige Riley, Amber Cameron, Katelin, Jacob, Jonathan and Julia Teter; two great grandchildren Abby and Aiden Cameron as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Amos was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rebecca Ann Haeberle in 2002; one brother Billy Ray Teter as well as two sisters JoAnn Walls and Linda Wolf.

Chapel Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Edens officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory online at www.chapman-black.com.
