Alvie Edward Breckenridge passed from this life on March 12, 2021 at the age of 94.

Alvie was born November 30, 1926, at Kusa, Oklahoma the son of Henry Preston and Omie Ione (Holbert) Breckenridge. Alvie attended school in Hominy where he later graduated. Following high school Alvie remained in the area and was soon called to active duty serving in the United States Army. He was later honorably discharged in April of 1947. He returned to the Hominy Area and began working on the pipelines. On May 3, 1952, Alvie was united in marriage to Cleva Jean Starrett the couple established their home in the Hominy area. Alvie worked on the Keystone Dam as a equipment maintenance repair man. Alvie was also a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers since 1951. Alvie worked throughout the United States following the pipeline but always returned to the Cleveland and Hominy area.

Alvie loved being outdoors and spent many hours working in his garden. He also operated a cattle operation for many years as well. Alvie always loved being at home where he enjoyed working. Going coon hunting and growing his vegetables were always the highlight of his life.

Survivors are his three children Shirley Covey and her husband Rick of Jenks, Oklahoma, Steve Breckenridge and his wife Brenda of Ralston, Oklahoma, Jeanne Hueston and her husband Bill of Glenpool, Oklahoma; two sisters Alta MacDonald of Pique, Ohio, Lorah Pearson of San Francisco, California, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Cleva, son Bruce Breckenridge, two sisters Marie Brouillard, Lorrine Robinson

Services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Head officiating. Burial will be held in the Woodland Cemetery.
