Alfred (Al) Lee Canada was born on October 2, 1949, and passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2024, surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer. Al was happiest on his land, tending to his animals, especially his beloved cows. When he wasn't helping neighbors with various projects, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family, and giving people a hard time. For 14 years, his loyal dog Ribsy was his constant companion.
Al is survived by his brother Larry Perry; sister Alfreda Ecker; daughters, Stacy Reeder, Stephanie Canada Phillips, Shelly Jordan, and Sara Mautino; sons-in-law, Dan Reeder, Mike Phillips, Reggie Jordan, and Cayce Mautino; and grandchildren, Dane Reeder, Raye Reeder, Meg Reeder-Cramer, Shimea Jordan, Emma Jordan, Avery Jordan, and Lily Mautino, as well as his great-grandson, Ivan Reeder-Chong. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Cynthia Howard.
A man of many talents, there was little Al couldn't fix, build, or repair. He will be deeply missed by his close friends, his community, and most of all, his family.
Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Al's home in Jennings, Oklahoma.
