As a young man Alan grew up in Berlin where he attended school and graduated from Berlin High School. Shortly after graduation Alan joined the United States Army in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served his country in Vietnam and was later honorably discharged at Fort Riley, Kansas. During his time in the Army, Specialist Alan Losinske received the following decorations and medals: The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, two Overseas Bars, Rifle Marksman and Machine Gun Expert. Alan loved his family very much. He loved life and every thing about it. Alan felt good about the way he raised his children and being able to take care of them and their needs. He loved being outdoors and especially the time mowing, and working in his garden. Alan felt that you should do it right the first time so you donít have to do it again. Alan took great pride in his lawn and garden. However, most of all in life Alan loved the time he spent grilling and cooking out with his family whom he loved dearly.
