Abbie was born on August 7, 1943, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Abbie was the daughter of Leo "Buck" and Bonnie Ellen (Enos) Turner. Abbie grew up and attended school in Pawhuska, where she completed her education. Later Abbie moved to Muskogee and then to Tulsa in early 1970, where she worked for the Tulsa Housing Authority. Abbie worked for Munsingwear, which later became Cupid, for many years. Following the closure of Cupid, Abbie began working as a Union Representative for United Garment Workers. Abbie later began working for Hominy Public School in 2007, known as Miss Abbie to all the kids. She worked in the cafeteria before becoming a teacher's aide and retiring in 2020.
Abbie always enjoyed her time with her family, especially her grandkids. Traveling with Bonny, Pat, and Terri, the "Four Amigos" was always memorable to her. Kennebunkport, Maine, Hawaii, and New York City were just a few of the places they visited. Christmas time was always special to her, and cooking for the holidays. Abbie has been a longtime faithful and devoted member of the First Assembly of God Church. She also taught children's Sunday School for many years.
Survivors are her three sons Rusty and Kelly Dyer of Hominy, Oklahoma, Jeff and Paula Reese of Hominy, Oklahoma, John and Kim Enloe of Hominy, Oklahoma, one brother Bill Turner of Hominy, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
