Sarah Mae Branham

Sarah Mae Branham, 73 of Jennings, Oklahoma passed from this life on April 1, 2020, at her home.

Sarah was born on October 7, 1946, in the rural community of Dixie, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Charlie and Lillian (Fisher) Scott. As a young girl Sarah began her education in Cleveland where she later graduated with the Class of 1964 from Cleveland High School. Following high school, Sarah was united in marriage to Jerry LeForce in 1967 and to that union there are two children Sara Irene and Jason Wayne. Sarah worked at Hissom Memorial Center near Sand Springs for a short time before gaining employment at the Cleveland Area Hospital as a housekeeper. On August 30, 1984, Sarah was united in marriage to Thomas Richard Branham. The couple established their initial home in Hallett and in the early 1990’s moved to their current home in Jennings.

Sarah enjoyed drinking coffee, watching her humming birds and traveling with Tom. She always looked forward going with him feeding the cattle, pumping wells or on trips out of town. Sarah liked watching Price is Right, Lets Make a Deal, The Waltons or any Western series show. A Friday cheeseburger from Sonic was always something special she looked forward to. Sarah has also been a longtime member of the Nazarene Church in Cleveland.

Survivors include her husband Tom of the home; four children Sarah Irene LeForce of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Jason Wayne LeForce of Oilton, Oklahoma, Lisa Jones of Hallett, Oklahoma, Chancey Branham and wife Samantha Bagley of Hallett, Oklahoma; two sisters Freida Young of Stroud, Oklahoma, Joyce Pruitt of Stroud, Oklahoma; grandchildren Jerrad, Makayla, Julia, Garrett, Jessica, Canaan, Kristy; great grandchildren Cimarron, Nathanael and Everly. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lillian Scott, siblings Anna Bray, Joe Scott, Martha Priebe and John Scott.

Burial will be held in the Funeral Directors Cremation Serivces at Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Sarah at www.chapman-black.com.
