Dorcas Rose Farmer Sanders

Dorcas Rose Farmer Sanders was born July 20, 1927. She rose to heaven's gate December 23, 2015. Dorcas is preceded in death by her father Lee Adkins Farmer, and mother Lois Hallie Daniel Farmer, son and daughter-in-law Orville Marion "Bud" Sanders Jr. and Judy Sanders as well as a grandson Capt. Justin Brian Sanders and a brother Homer Farmer. Survivors include her three sons Lee Sanders and his wife Ernestine of Owasso, Oklahoma, John Sanders of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Jim Sanders and his wife Donna of Skiatook, Oklahoma; two brothers Ray Farmer, Robert Farmer Sr.; one sister Betty Bales; grandchildren Shannon Bowman, Thomas Lee and Monica Sanders, Alex and Tina Sanders, Hatcher Sanders, Detrick Sanders, Greta Remington, Sherry and Kenny Klechka, Kevin and Kelly Sanders; great-grandchildren Christina Bowman, Kyle Bowman, Raegan Sanders, Landre Sanders, London Klechka, Lois Klechka, Paige Sanders, Faith Sanders, Zachary and Sierra Remington; one great-great-grandson Ross Sanders, and several nieces and nephews.

Dorcas Rose was an accomplished businesswoman. She owned and operated Lewis Avenue Florist in Tulsa for 20 years. She was involved in many clubs and organizations throughout her life. She enjoyed her family and friends. She was proud of her family and cherished time she spent with them. She liked to host fancy dinner parties and cook for the holidays. When she retired she moved to a small farm house in Mannford where she continued her love of flower arranging with all the flowers she grew around her home.

Services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at the Mowery Funeral Home Chapel in Owasso, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Visitaiton will also be held on Monday from 2:00 pm till 7:00 pm at the Mower Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Pallbearer will include Lee Sanders, John Sanders, Jim Sanders, Thomas Lee Sanders, Alex Sanders, Kevin Sanders, Kenny Klechka and Marion Watkins.
